How to Make Hair Oil from a Can of Coconut Milk
Coconut milk has been known for its organic properties for centuries. But it is also a moisturizing agent, especially when applied to the hair. It releases tangles and knots and moisturizes the hair follicle from root to tip. - Can of coconut milk
- Olive oil
- Rosemary oil
- Honey
- Aloe vera gel
- Avocado
- Lime

Gather all of the items needed for this recipe. You can find most of them at your local supermarket or at your local health food store.
In place of the coconut milk, you can also use organic concentrated coconut milk, which can be found at a local health food store or the organic section of your local supermarket.
The aloe vera gel can also be squeezed from fresh stems of aloe vera or purchased at a local health food store.

Mash the avocado in a bowl. Pour in the can of coconut milk. Add 2 tbsp. honey, lime juice (squeeze a lime first), rosemary, olive oil and aloe vera gel.
By combining these items with the coconut milk, you are creating a coconut oil blend that will enhance the qualities of the coconut milk.

Mix all of the items together with a large spoon until it blends. The mixture will be a little thick.
If you prefer a mixture that is oily, heat up the mixture in a microwave or pour it into a pot and heat it for a few minutes.

Apply this coconut oil mixture as a conditioner or a hot oil treatment or as a leave in moisturizer.
For a conditioner or a hot oil treatment, apply this mixture to your hair from root to tip. Sit under a hair dryer or heat cap for 15 to 30 minutes and rinse.
To use as a moisturizer, apply a palm sized amount in your hand and rub your hands together. Sweep through your hair from root to tip.

Store the coconut oil mixture in a plastic container in your refrigerator for future use. You can also experiment with other essential oils by adding it to this coconut oil blend.
