How to Make Your Own Blowgun Darts
A blowgun is a simple weapon that can be constructed out of just about any slender tube-shaped object. Small blowguns can be made from straws or pen tubes, while larger blowguns can be made from metal tubing or PVC tubes. Regardless of the type of blowgun you have, you will need darts to shoot. Homemade darts can be made from common household objects and cut to fit blowguns of a wide range of widths.

Use your scissors to cut the eraser off the end of the pencil. Cut it as low as you can to keep as much of the eraser intact as possible.

Stick a pin through the center of the cut end of the eraser and force it though until the pinhead stops the pin from being pulled through any further.

Fold a piece of paper into a funnel, apply a piece of clear tape to keep the funnel in place, then cut the funnel so that it is about an inch in diameter.

Drop your pin and eraser into the funnel tip-first and force the pin though the end of the funnel until the eraser meets the paper of the funnel.

Apply a strip of duct tape around the outside of the funnel to strengthen it and help it stick to the pin.

Compare the diameter of the funnel to that of your blowgun and use the scissors to cut the funnel off at a diameter that is a millimeter or two larger than the diameter of your blowgun.

Tips & Warnings
Blowguns may seem like toys but they can cause injury.
Load the darts point first, inhale, put your mouth around the blowgun, and then blow. Do not inhale after putting your mouth around the blowgun.
More powerful blowgun darts can be constructed for larger blowguns using a similar process with larger sharp metal objects like nails or sharpened hanger wire.
Never fire a blowgun if there are people in front of you. You should always fire with your back to others to ensure their safety.
