How to Attract Money With Positive Thinking

Think positively and you will attract money and other things that you desire to yourself. This is the basis of the "Universal Law of Abundance or Attraction." People all over the world have put this idea into practice and started earning or recieving the things they desire.

Attracting Money

Ask for money. If your preference is prayer, meditation or simply yelling to the universe on a cold dark night, the first step is to ask. The theory is that the universe cannot know what you want until you tell it. You should always keep your requests within reason, because if you cannot believe that it will happen, then it cannot. Your thoughts are what drive this request.

Behave as if you have already received this money. Positive thinking exercises are much more powerful through the act of concentration. Visualize yourself with the funds available. What will you buy? Where will you go? What do you want this money for? Ask yourself these questions and concentrate on what you want those answers to be. Visualize what you will buy and visualize yourself as having it. Try to add emotion to the visualization. How will you feel when you have these things? The more real you can make the visualization, the better the exercise will work.

Be open to the opportunities that will present themselves and accept them. If you find yourself asking for money and visualizing what you want, the next step is action. If you believe you are getting funds through winning the lottery, you must purchase a ticket. This step, however, also requires that you be open to all possibilities. If you visualize yourself getting money by winning the lottery and then lose, perhaps what you should be looking for is someone who’s offered you a career change or opportunity to purchase a house that needs to be fixed and resold. There are thousands of ways to make the money you desire; simply look for them.

Tips & Warnings

  • This thought originated in modern culture in the early 1900s. The laws of attraction were seen as a "New Thought Movement" influenced by Thomas Troward, who claimed that thought precedes physical form and that "the action of Mind plants that nucleus which, if allowed to grow undisturbed, will eventually attract to itself all the conditions necessary for its manifestation in outward visible form." It became more popular in the 21st century with the release of the book and movie called "The Secret."
