How to Remove Duct Tape Adhesive From Clothing
Duct tape is most man's cure to almost everything. It has a strong adhesive that sticks solid to most materials, and woven fibers thread into the tape to keep it strong. With all of the pluses comes one negative--if it gets stuck to your clothing, the adhesive does not want to come off. This problem can be easily rectified. You know how to apply the duct tape; now arm yourself with the knowledge to clean up afterward. Does this Spark an idea?

Soak the garment in warm water with laundry detergent for 30 minutes.

Scrape the adhesive off of the garment using any non-sharp object (fingernail, spoon). If the adhesive has not fully been removed, then break out the WD-40.

Spray a generous amount of WD-40 onto the adhesive. The WD-40 will break down the molecules of the adhesive.

Scrape the remainder of the adhesive off the garment with a non-sharp object.

Launder the garment as usual.

Tips & Warnings
If using WD-40, be sure to spray an inconspicuous area of the garment first to make sure the WD-40 does not stain the garment.
