How to Clean Brushes With Testors Enamel Paint

Model cars, ships, airplanes and other model kits have one thing in common---paint and brushes. You may have recently completed a model car or truck and you used Testors brand enamel paints to paint the model. The model is complete, dry and ready to be displayed in your home or office. The only thing you have to do now is clean the Testors enamel paint from your paintbrushes before you can store the brushes away.

Things You'll Need

• Plastic container or old bowl
• Testors Enamel Airbrush Thinner
• Latex gloves
• Paper towels

Instructions

1. Fill a plastic container or an old bowl with half the contents of a bottle of Testors Enamel Airbrush Thinner. Wear latex gloves to keep the chemical off of your hands.

2. Place the dirty paintbrushes in the plastic container or bowl of Testors Enamel Airbrush Thinner.

3. Let the paintbrushes sit for 30 minutes.

4. Stir the paintbrushes in the Testors Enamel Airbrush Thinner. If the brushes are still clogged with paint, let them sit for an additional 30 minutes.

5. Remove each brush and wipe it clean with a paper towel.

6. Place the paintbrushes on a clean piece of paper towel to dry.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not use cotton balls to wipe your paintbrushes clean, because the cotton balls will leave lint on your brushes.
