How to Find Out If Approved for Social Security Disability

Social Security considerations include whether or not you are working, the severity of your medical condition, whether or not you are impaired, if you can do the work you did before, and whether or not you are able to perform any type of work at all.

Tips & Warnings
Because the disability determination process is not a quick one, you should apply for benefits as soon as you become disabled.
To expedite the decision-making process, make sure you fill out the disability application completely and include all the information requested by the Social Security Administration.
If you are working and your earnings exceed an amount predetermined by the Social Security Administration, you will most likely be denied for disability benefits.
In order to be considered disabled under Social Security law, your medical condition must severely limit your ability to work.
