How to Create a Strawberry Smoothie
Smoothies combine the ice cold, refreshing flavor of a frozen drink with the healthy benefits of eating fruits and vegetables. A basic strawberry smoothie provides both of these factors on its own, and has the added benefit of being compatible with other fruits to create a wide array of unusual flavor combinations. Things You'll Need
- 3 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 1/2 milk
- 1/3 cup strawberry jam
- Blender
- Mug

Put the frozen strawberries, milk and jam in your blender and set it to "puree." Make sure the lid is secured on the blender before activating.

Run the blender until the mixture is smooth, which should take a couple minutes. This recipe will make approximately 2 to 4 cups of smoothie.

Pour the smoothie into mugs and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
You can make a wide variety of substitutions and additions to your smoothie to create your own flavors. For example, you can replace the frozen strawberries with fresh berries and add shaved or crushed ice to maintain the consistency. You can replace the strawberry jam with honey or dried fruit. A little vanilla extract can also add some additional flavor to this frozen drink.
