The first step in applying to law school is doing well in your undergraduate course work. You need to have a 3.0 to be considered by most top tier law schools. The most accommodating undergraduate majors for law include English, History, Political Science, and International Studies.

Step 2) The second step in applying to law school is preparing for the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). Doing well on this test is absolutely crucial in getting into the right law school--it's more important that undergraduate GPA. Get a tutor, take a preparatory program like Kaplan or Princeton Review, and do the best you can.

Step 3) The third step in applying to law school is filling out your law school applications. Just as in college admissions, law school admissions will require your undergraduate GPA transcripts, at least 1 recommendation, and your LSAT score. Make sure you sign up for the LSAC.
