Tips & Warnings

  • If you desire a strong mint flavor you can use the ratio of 1.5:4. Use 1 1/2 cups of mint leaves to 4 cups of boiling water.

  • Honey and lemon are excellent additions to fresh mint tea. You can also use this recipe for alcoholic beverages such as mint juleps, or you can heavily sweeten the tea and use it in place of simple syrup in mojitos.

  • Do not boil the mint leaves directly in the water as the leaves will cook and give the beverage an unpleasant flavor.
