Cleanse the skin using a soap for sensitive skin. Facial skin with acne boils can be extremely inflamed and sensitive, so the cleansing process should be very gentle, focusing on cleaning the skin without damaging or exacerbating the boils. Use only a soap or a cleanser that is formulated for sensitive skin types, and avoid scrubbing or rubbing the skin. Do not use a loofah or a washcloth, only the fingers and hands as gently as possible. Lather the hands, and spread the lather onto the affected areas, then rinse the skin thoroughly with cool to warm water. Pat the face dry with a soft, clean towel. Repeat twice per day; once in the morning and again in the evening.

Medicate the skin with a low concentration benzoyl peroxide cream. Higher concentrations of benzoyl peroxide will irritate the skin, even though they dry acne quickly. Low concentration creams will clear the skin without causing the unwanted side effects, like skin peeling, redness or itching. Spread a nickel-sized amount of 2.5 percent benzoyl peroxide cream onto the skin using a very light touch. Glide the fingertips over the skin until the cream has been completely absorbed. Repeat twice a day after washing.

Hydrate the skin using an oil-free facial lotion formulated for sensitive skin. Benzoyl peroxide will clear up the acne facial boils, but can be drying to skin in any concentration if used without a moisturizing lotion. Use only an oil-free lotion that does not contain perfumes, chemicals or other pore-clogging ingredients or exacerbate the boils. Avoid lotions with ingredients used to reduce wrinkles or dry skin. Spread a nickel-sized amount of lotion onto the skin, and smooth it around using the fingertips until it is absorbed. Repeat twice a day after using the benzoyl peroxide cream.
