How to Remove a Trojan Virus From Norton
If you have ever had a virus on your computer, there is an excellent chance that it was a Trojan horse virus. Trojan horse infections are common, because they are hidden inside software that appears to have a useful function. If you have Norton Antivirus installed, however, your computer is protected from most types of Trojan horse viruses. If you believe that your computer is infected, remove the virus from within Norton Antivirus.

Right click on the Norton Antivirus icon in the lower right corner of the screen, and click "Open Norton Antivirus."

Click "Scan now."

Click "Run Full System Scan." This operation will scan all of the files on your computer to find and remove potential threats. Depending on the amount of data on your hard drive, this may be a lengthy process. After the first time your computer is scanned, however, it is generally safe to use the Quick Scan option rather than the Full Scan.

Click the "Attention Required" tab if it flashes red. This means that Norton Antivirus has found an infection on your computer.

Click the drop down menu next to "Action" to tell Norton Antivirus how to respond to the problem. In most cases, you should select "Fix." Click "Apply All" to fix the problem.

Click the "Detailed Results" tab to see further details about the scan. Some types of threats will be deleted by Norton Antivirus automatically without your intervention. The details will be shown here.
