How to Clean White Marble Rocks

Things You'll Need

  • 2 concrete blocks
  • Old window screen
  • Rubber gloves
  • Scoop or small shovel
  • Water hose or pressure washer
  • Bucket
  • Dishwashing soap
  • Long-handled scrub brush
  • Cardboard or plywood

Instructions

    • 1

      Place two concrete blocks about 3 to 4 feet apart on a flat concrete surface outside your home.

      Place an old window screen on top of the concrete blocks. Push the concrete blocks apart, if needed, to allow for the largest opening possible under the window screen.

      Scoop up a stack of white marble rocks using a scoop or shovel. Wear rubber gloves to protect your hands.

      Place the stack of white marble rocks on top of the old window screen.

      Spread the rocks out with the scoop or shovel.

      Spray the rocks with a water hose or power washer set on a low PSI setting to flush off any loose dust and dirt.

      Shake the old window screen vigorously to agitate the white marble rocks. Spray the rocks again with water to free up caked-on dirt and debris.

      Mix 2 tbsp. of dishwashing soap and 1 gallon of warm water in a bucket. Stir the soap mixture with a long-handled scrub brush.

      Scrub the white marble rocks with the soap-soaked scrub brush.

      Rinse the white marble rocks with the water hose or power washer set on a low PSI setting.

      Turn the rocks over with the scoop or shovel.

      Scrub the other side of the white marble rocks with the soap-soaked scrub brush.

      Rinse off the other side of the white marble rocks with the water hose or power washer set on a low PSI setting.

      Scoop or shovel up the clean white marble rocks and place them on a piece of clean cardboard or plywood.

      Let the rocks air dry.

      Repeat steps 3 through 14 for the next batch of white marble rocks you want to clean.
