How to Use Rid to Kill Body Lice
Body lice are tiny wingless parasites that feed off of blood. They are related to but not the same species as lice found in head hair and pubic hair. Body lice and their eggs are generally found in the seams of clothing, but they also appear in bedding and furniture. The lice move to the skin to feed, and then move back to the clothing to lay their eggs. The main symptom is itching. Lice in the pubic region are known as "crabs."

Tips & Warnings
Though you can use RID products for body lice, treatment is not really needed for body lice, aside from treating clothing and other items to avoid reinfestation, according to the Mayo Clinic website.
Consult a doctor for instructions before applying to a child under age 2. Time the cleaning of the environment (clothing, etc.) at the same time as the body treatment, to avoid a reinfestation.
Don't apply the shampoo in the mouth, in the vagina, in the nose or in eyebrows or eyelashes.
Do not use near the eyes. Keep eyes shut during application. Protect eyes with a towel during use as much as possible.
