Use your service manual to determine the center jacking point for the rear or the front of your vehicle. Note: Do not lift both ends of the car at once; there's a good chance of dropping the vehicle on its axles. If you need to lift both ends of your Jeep, use a hydraulic lift.

2
Locate the hydraulic jack at the center jacking point for either the front or rear of the vehicle.

-
3
Turn the hand valve clockwise until closed.
-
4
Raise the rear or front end to the desired height.

Position your jack stands on the left and right support points located at the front or rear of your Jeep as shown in the service manual for your year/model vehicle.

Tips & Warnings
Stay as far out from under your Jeep as possible when positioning your jack stands so that if the vehicle falls you will not get hurt.
Make sure you use the recommended jacking points for the hydraulic jack and jack stands to prevent damage to the undercarriage of your Jeep.
Use the year/model service manual appropriate for your Jeep when determining jacking and support points. You may also find helpful illustrations in the Chilton's 2000-2009 General repair manual.
Do not attempt to hold up your vehicle if it falls off the jack stand. You will not be able to stop it and could easily be injured in the process.
If your hydraulic jack will not hold pressure when raising the Jeep, do not continue the process until this is resolved, as this could lead to injury.
