Instructions

    • 1

Boil the milk thistle flower head after either buying a commercially grown milk thistle plant or growing one yourself. After boiling the flower head, you may then eat it just as you would eat an artichoke.

    • 2

Eat the leaves of the milk thistle plant. Milk thistle plant leaves taste very similar to spinach and can be mixed in with other lettuce leaves to make a salad.

    • 3

Grind the milk thistle seeds. Use the ground seeds to make tea. Simply mix the desired amount into a cup of boiling water and drink as you would any other tea.

    • 4

Take a milk thistle supplement. Milk thistle supplements can be found at your local drug store. Follow the dosage instructions on the back of the bottle to ensure your safety and prevent overdose. It is best to consume milk thistle supplements with a glass of water to aid in proper absorption.

Tips & Warnings
