How to Make a Pendant With Beads
A handmade beaded pendant can add style to any outfit. Mix handcrafted Venetian glass beads with Siam silver and Czech glass to dangle downward like falling leaves. The distinct design of the Venetian glass lends an artistic element to the pendant while its transparency captures the light. Suspend the pendant with a satin cord for casual wear or on a strand of matching glass beads or silver chain for an evening look.

1
Cut the wire to 6 inches. Create a 90 degree angle approximately 2 inches from one end of the wire. Grip the end with tape-wrapped round nose pliers and roll it downward to form a loop. Ensure that the end of the loop hits the wire to secure the pendant when worn.

2
Place the Murano glass focal bead onto the piece of sterling silver wire so that it hits the top of the loop. String one silver-lined Czech crystal round bead above it. Position both beads to the wire's center. Bend both wire ends upward. Next, cross the wires over the center of the top bead so that they are flush. Bend one of the wires vertically.

Bend the other wire at a 90 degree angle. Holding the vertical wire, wrap the bent wire around the straight one two times and trim off any excess. With round-nose pliers, make a loop with the vertical wire. Wrap any remaining wire around the previously wrapped section. Trim off the excess wire end and set aside.

4
String a Siam ruby round bead onto one head pin. Next, add one frosted silver-lined bead and another Siam ruby round bead. Make a basic loop as directed in step one. Link it to the bottom right of the main pendant's loop.

5
Thread one frosted silver-lined round bead, one Siam ruby round bead and one frosted silver-lined round onto the second head pin. As before, make a loop and attach this dangle to the bottom left of the main pendant.
-
6
Place one Siam ruby round, one frosted silver-lined round bead and two Siam ruby bugle beads onto the last head pin. Make one last loop and attach it in-between the other two danglers. Both of the three-bead dangles should be on opposite sides to finish the pendant.

Tips & Warnings
Experiment with copper wire when making a beaded pendant with Venetian glass beads for a warmer look.
For inspiration, craft a sterling silver wire spiral pendant. Use a jump ring to suspend small Venetian glass beads from the spiral.
Because Venetian glass beads are handmade, the bead hole may have rough or sharp edges. Simply remove them and smooth the bead's interior by using a bead reamer.
