How to Clean the DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM3300

A clean machine makes a superior cup of espresso.

Cleaning your Delonghi Magnifica Esam3300 regularly can make a difference in the taste of your espresso. While this machine does have it's own decalcifier, it is still important that you keep all the parts in working order. With a few simple steps, you can keep your ESAM3300 in tip-top condition.

Instructions

1. Remove the water reservoir from the back of the machine. Rinse it with hot water -- without any chemicals or detergents -- and gently wipe it out with a soft dishcloth. Turn it over to let it air dry.

2. Clean the brew group. Remove the brew group from the front of your Delonghi Magnifica and rinse it with warm water; again, do not use any chemicals or detergents. Place the brew group on a towel to air dry.

3. Descale the boiler by using the machine's automatic descaling setting. You should do this every two to three months in order to keep your boiler in excellent condition.

4. Run a cycle of just water through the unit -- that is, with no coffee. This will keep your espresso maker's internal parts clean.

Tips & Warnings

• Always be careful when removing the brew unit for cleaning.

• Never use detergents to clean your espresso machine.
