Step 1
Christmas Wreaths. Make an easy basic Christmas Wreath by using inexpensive crafting wire shaped into a circle. Attach left over garland or garland from previous holidays. Hot glue pine cones and acorns found around the yard onto the wreath. Give new life to old ornaments by adding them to the home made wreath. Add an inexpensive red bow to the top. And hang the wreath prominently on the front door or a front window.

Christmas Fireplace Decorations. Take a dozen or so pinecones found around the garden or yard. Clean them up and spray paint the pine cones and acorns a bright metallic gold and silver. Place them in a decorative glass bowl and set on fireplace shelf.

Christmas Potpourri. Holiday scented potpourri' s can get very costly. Here is how to make a fancy yuletide potpourri to scent the home for mere pennies. Take a few pinecones and acorns and place in a basket. Spray with gold and silver metallic paint. Sprinkle pine scented essential oil (available at most department stores) on the pine cones and acorns. Place in the living room to scent the home during the Christmas holidays.
