Things You'll Need:
- Tea
- Honey/Lemon
- Vicks Vapor
-
Step 1
TeaPrepare tea as directed on the box. I use the decaf type, and make it with 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar. You can fix it to taste. Either make the tea warm or heat it for 1 minute, or until warm, in the microwave or on the stove.
-
Step 2
HoneyAdd 1 teaspoon of honey to the tea while it is warm. Add 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice to the tea and honey. Mix them together well and sip it either day or night. This is why I use the decaf so it will not keep you awake.
-
Step 3
VicksPlace a liberal amount of Vicks Vapor Rub on the bottom of the feet of the person coughing. After you have completely covered the fee, put on a very thick pair of socks. This works great for bed time. It can soothe a cough for most of the night. Also rub a small amount on the chest and under the nose.
