Tips & Warnings
  • Images will tile repeatedly across the page, so make sure you are using a small, simple graphic.
  • Using light grey or lightly colored images will make it easier to read text on Web page.
  • Look for free background images on the web by typing "free background" into a search engine.
  • Borders that span the left side of a page are really tiled images. The border is a small rectangle of color and the rest of the image is clear, repeating down the page so it looks like a border.
  • Obtain permission before using any unlicensed or copyrighted clip art.
  • Do not use images from another Web page without permission from the owner of the site.
