Corn Chowder

This is one of my favorites. I decided to try different ways to make it, and this recipe seems to be just right (to me). Hope you like it, is perfect now that is getting chilly out there! If you have a comment or suggestion please feel free to post it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 5 ears of corn
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth (or vegetable)
  • 5 slices of bacon
  • parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • celery
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • dried thyme
  • butter
  • flour
  • potatoes
  1. Step 1

Get all of your ingredients ready:
Chop onions, peel and chop potatoes, chop celery, cut bacon in small rectangles and cook it until crispy.

  2. Step 2

In the same pot where you cooked the bacon add: 1 tsp of butter, onions, garlic, thyme, celery. Cook until vegetables are soft. Dust it with 2 tbs. of flour.

  3. Step 3

Add 1 cup of water, 1 cup of chicken broth. Add potatoes. Let it boil until potatoes are tender. Add corn. When corn seems ready, add 1 cup of milk. Add bacon. Salt and pepper. Stir for 5 minutes. Serve and toss some parsley to it.
