  • Light Ingredients
  1. Step 1
    Egg

    Egg

Check your recipe for eggs. If it calls for eggs, use 1/2 regular eggs and 1/2 egg substitute.

  2. Step 2
    Cheese

    Cheese

Replace cheese with reduced fat cheddar in the recipe if it is called for.

  3. Step 3
    Cream

    Cream

Use fat-free whenever possible, such as when the recipe calls for sour cream. This can also be done if cream cheese or any other type of dairy is required.

  4. Step 4
    Turkey

    Turkey

When it is called for, use ground turkey instead of ground beef. It is leaner and has less fat.

    Oil

    Oil

Fry your dishes in olive oil and use only the amount needed to complete the dish instead of heavy oil and deep frying.

  6. Step 6

Remember, anytime you can reduce the fat or calories in a dish, you are making it more healthy for you and your family.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use low fat
  • Use turkey
  • Follow the directions on the recipe, just substitute.
