Things You'll Need:
- Personal e-mail account
-
Step 1
Avoid using your company e-mail address to inquire about the woman's status. This is a personal e-mail. If you violate your company policy regarding personal e-mails, you risk getting reprimanded or even terminated.
-
Step 2
Don't use "come-on lines" in the message. An example of a come-on line is, "You have been running through my mind all day, so I know you must be tired," or "You are so fine that silk has nothing on you."
-
Step 3
Cushion the upcoming question by telling the woman that you don't mean to offend her. This will let her know that you have no ill intentions behind the e-mail.
-
Step 4
Ask your question. Be direct and keep it simple. Just say, "I was wondering whether or not you are single." Don't ask whether or not she has a man in her life because that may be offensive to her.
-
Step 5
Wait for her e-mail response. If she wants to respond, she will. If the woman doesn't respond, don't send her another message because you think she didn't get the first one. Instead, ask her when you see her in person whether or not she received your e-mail.
