Things You'll Need:
- Steelhead floats
- Rod and reel spooled with line
- Hooks
- Jigs in assorted colors
- Salmon eggs or dough balls.

Step 1
Remove the tubes from the top and bottom of the float.

Slide the main line through both tubes.

Step 3
Tie a hook or jig using a clinch knot to the end of the line. Instructions for tying are linked in the reference section.

Step 4
Bait a bare hook with salmon eggs or dough balls, available at tackle shops. If using a jig, skip this step.

Step 5
Slide apart the two float tubes.

Step 6
Insert the bottom end of the top tube into the top of the float and insert the top end of the bottom tube into the bottom of the float.

Step 7
Remove the tubes and slide to a new position on the line, then reattach the float to adjust the depth of the hook or jig.
