How to Remove Melted Crayon From a Car Seat
In preparation for a long car ride, thinking of ways to entertain your child can be necessary for the sake of your sanity. One of the many things you might do to keep your child occupied is allow him to take along his coloring book and crayons. Such a thing is easy to forget about--that is, until you discover the multicolored stains melted all over the car seat. Does this Spark an idea?

Scrape off as much of the melted crayon as you can with a dull edge. Use an ice cube to harden the crayon if necessary.

Choose a cleaning fluid. Two common cleaning fluids that can successfully remove melted crayon from a car seat are WD-40 and dry cleaning solvent. As some cleaning fluids may cause damage to the fabric, test your chosen fluid on an inconspicuous area of the car seat before proceeding.

Apply WD-40 directly onto the the remaining stain, and allow it to set for 10 minutes. Remove the stain and WD-40 by rubbing it with a clean cloth using a circular motion. Repeat as necessary.

Apply the dry cleaning solvent onto a clean cloth, and use it to gently blot the remaining stain. Repeat as necessary.
