How to Remove Urine Stains From a Pillowtop Mattress
Accidents happen. Whether it is due to incontinence, pets, children or a night of too much drinking, urine stains on your mattress can occur. But don't throw that bed away. If you have a pillowtop mattress, there's a relatively easy solution to make that bed stain free. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- White vinegar
- Liquid dish soap
- Water
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Clean rags
- Hair dryer

Dab the stain with a dry cloth to soak up any remaining liquid. Be sure to apply lots of pressure, and do not scrub. Scrubbing will only help set the stain.

Mix 1 tbls. of liquid dish soap, 1 tbls. of white vinegar and 2 cups of warm water.

Dab the stain with the mixture. Allow it to sit for a few minutes.

Take a clean rag and dab the area, applying pressure to soak up as much liquid as possible.

Pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide directly onto the stain. Allow it to sit for a few minutes.

Dry the spot with the hair dryer with the dryer on a low setting. Be sure not to hold the dyer too close to the fabric.

Tips & Warnings
If your pillowtop mattress is white, you may want to try bleaching the stain.
Do not scrub the stain. Scrubbing will only set the stain, making it more difficult to clean.
