Instructions

    • 1

Lay towels on the floor around the shower.

    • 2

Use a vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment to vacuum out the tracks to remove hair and other loose debris. This should be done when the tracks are dry.

    • 3

Place wadded up paper towels into the tracks' drain holes. The drain holes are located on the bottom of the track, inside of the shower. This will allow the cleaning agent to soak into the tracks.

    • 4

Pour white distilled vinegar into the tracks. Fill the track as full as you can without overflowing. Let the vinegar soak on the tracks for about an hour. Try pouring cola or bleach and water on the tracks for an alternative method.

    • 5

Scrub the tracks using a toothbrush once the cleaning agent has soaked into the tracks for a sufficient amount of time. Be sure to get into the corners and any small crevices. Use cotton swabs or a screwdriver and rag to get into hard-to-reach places.

    • 6

Remove the paper towels from the drain holes and allow the cleaning agent to drain. Pour hot water into the tracks to rinse away any residual grime.

    • 7

Repeat scrubbing with the toothbrush if any grime remains in the tracks. Rinse the track with hot water.
