How to get an LPN certificate
The initials LPN stand for licensed practical nurse. An LPN is a medical professional who works to care and educate patients as part of her medical duties. In order to become an LPN you must attend a post secondary institution of higher learning and get a certificate.

Apply for the progam. Programs may have a waiting list if they are popular. Other programs may merely require you to apply and gain admission by the next semester. Make sure that you fill out all paperwork completely. You will need to arrange financing to pay for the program to get your LPN certificate.

Pass classes. As part of your LPN training you will have to pass classes related to nursing policies and procedures. You may have to learn how to follow instructions from a nursing supervisor as well how to help patients learn to eat properly and dress themselves. Expect to be required to pass classes in basic math and sciences such as biology and statistics.

Complete your clinical education. In order to get an LPN certificate you will be required to pass classes onsite in a hospital setting. This is known as the clinical education phase of your education. During this period you will work with patients directly under the supervision of a nursing instructor. Pay close attention to how to care for patients in order to pass the class and get your LPN certification.
Tips & Warnings
Attend full time if possible.
Study hard and try to maintain a high GPA. You may later want to return to complete course of study to become an RN or registered nurse. High grades will make that task easier.
