Finding the right acne solution can be a challenge.

Adults and teenagers alike seek the perfect acne remedy, but a good acne treatment product can be expensive. Learn how to find inexpensive acne solutions online and locally.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check eBay. You will often find Neutrogena, Proactive, and Acne Free treatments for a steal on eBay. Savvy sellers know how to get these items inexpensively and pass the savings on to you. Just make sure the item is still factory sealed and has not passed its expiration date.

  2. Step 2

Check the clearance section at WalMart, Target, and other stores. You will often find discontinued items drastically reduced. Sometimes this is only due to a packaging change and the item is about to be re-released in a few weeks. The retailer is simply clearing out all of the products with the old packaging.

  3. Step 3

Visit Big Lots and other closeout centers. You will find all sorts of clearance and discontinued items for the same reason as above. You can try out the products without spending a fortune and determine which one works best for your skin.

  4. Step 4

Join online forums, such as Acne.org. These forums are communities made up of members with similar interests and problems. You will find others searching for the acne solution. You can talk and get advice from others regarding a good acne treatment.

  5. Step 5

Beware of home the home concocted acne remedy. You will find all kinds of bad information on the internet. Be very careful what you put on your skin!

  6. Step 6

Seek out a local dermatology clinic. You may be able to find one in your area that serves low income patients.

  7. Step 7

See the resources section below for more information for acne treatments.
