How to Make an Avocado Hair Mask
Apply an avocado hair mask to deep condition your hair or give it a well-needed moisturizing treatment. Avocado provides the hair with enough protein to strengthen it, while moisturizing your hair. Honey and shea butter work together to give your hair an extra boost of moisture. The oils work to seal the strand, ensuring that your hair stays moist. Things You'll Need
- Mixing bowl
- Wooden spoon
- 1/4 cup melted shea butter
- Ripe avocado
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 2 tbsp. coconut oil
- 2 tbsp. jojoba oil or olive oil
- 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- Plastic cap

Melt the shea butter in a bowl. Add the avocado. Mash and blend until smooth. Add honey, coconut oil, jojoba oil or olive oil and vinegar. Combine all ingredients. The mix should be slightly thick.

Wash your hair. Apply the mask. Coat your hair with the avocado hair mask thoroughly from root to tip. Cover your hair with a plastic cap. Leave the hair mask on for 30 to 45 minutes.

Rinse the avocado hair mask from your hair using lukewarm water. Ensure you remove all of the avocado hair mask.

Perform a final rinse with cold water to seal the cuticle. Towel blot dry.
