Smoking is a expensive habit which kills many people every year and indirectly effects many more. If you are reading this I assume you want to quit and rest assured it can be done. I am sure it can be done because 1.5 years ago I quit the habit myself. Anyway, If you want to quit smoking read this article and follow the steps so that you may accomplish quitting smoking once and for all.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Desire
  • Determination
  1. Step 1

The first step is to tell yourself you want to quit smoking and dedicate yourself to that task. Without this step and the total dedication and desire you will fail in your pursuit to quit smoking.

  2. Step 2

Next you must tell yourself that patches, drugs, gum, hypnotherapy and etc do not work. It is my belief that patches and such do not work as they only substitute one nicotine source with another yet still leave the person dependant upon the nicotine. While quick fixes will not work things like smoking cigarette sized cut straws, eating peppermints and etc will help with the psycological aspect of quitting smoking.

  3. Step 3

The last step is to every day tell yourself, I will not smoke today. In doing this do not say anything about next day, next week, month year or whatever and just concentrate on one day at a time. If you do this effectively after a month you will be off nicotine and then secret only becomes not to pick up another cigarette ever as you'll always be one cigarette away from re-addiction.
