Things You'll Need:
- Bowling ball
- 4 Felt pads for furniture legs (self adhesive type)
- Silk flowers
- Wire cutters
- OPTIONAL: Three 1/2" plastic test tubes, plant cuttings
-
Step 1
Recycled Bowling BallClean the bowling ball and dry. Adhere four self-adhesive felt furniture pads to the bottom of the ball which will prevent the recycled bowling ball from rolling.
-
Step 2
Bowling Ball DoorstopDecorate the bowling ball doorstop by placing colorful silk flowers into the thumb and finger holes. Use wire cutters to shorten the silk flower stems. Make a small loop with the stem at the bottom of the silk flowers so they will fit snugly into the holes of the recycled bowling ball.
-
Step 3
Bowling Ball Doorstop/Plant RooterMake the recycled bowling ball perform double duty both as a doorstop and a plant rooter. Add a bit of water to each test tube and put the test tubes into the holes in the bowling ball. Place the plant cuttings into the test tubes. Check water level in the test tubes every few days.
