Paper beads are so fun to create and they do not take that much time to make. They are also fantastic to make for simple and easy projects for your kids to enjoy. Your little ones can make: necklaces, bracelet, small art books and so much more! These beads don't take a lot of art supplies around your house. In fact it is a wonderful way to recycle any news paper that you might have in your house! Then, once you are completed in making a few of the paper beads, your little ones can make beautiful master pieces for them to display in their room for everyone to see!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Newspaper
  • Magazines
  • Acrylic paints
  • School glue
  • Plastic straw
  1. Step 1

Cut a elongated triangle from any paper that you like. Make sure that the sides of the triangle are even so it comes to a matching point.

  2. Step 2

Start to roll the paper triangle around the plastic drinking straw and tuck in the end. This might take a little work but once you get it started I like to dab a little glue after the paper goes around the straw just one time to hold it on to itself.

  3. Step 3

Keep winding on the paper til about the very end then take a small amount of glue to the tip of the paper and then glue down. Let the glue dry until the bead is easy to slip off the at that time it is to decorate.

  4. Step 4

Since there are no rules in the decorating process you could just decorate the bead how ever you need for the project that you are making. This so versatile that you can fit in with any project that you might have! In the picture, I choose to make hot and spicy beads so that is why I painted them bright colors. You might want to try different colors?

Tips & Warnings
  • Try stamping onto your beads or mixing other images onto your beads with gel medium. Don't forget to try embossing powders with paper beads because you can get fantastic results from that!
