How to Use Red Vinegar for Dandruff
Dandruff can be embarrassing and unsightly. You can spend a lot of money buying expensive shampoos and conditioners to help eliminate dandruff, or you can try using a variety of home remedies. Red vinegar is one of the many natural home remedies that you can choose to use for your dandruff treatment. Vinegar works well because it is high in potassium and natural enzymes that help protect the scalp.

Use Red Vinegar to Curb Dandruff

1
Add vinegar to a bowl of warm water so that the water just barely shows color from the dilution. Massage the solution into your scalp every night prior to going to bed. Wrap your head in a towel to keep the solution working overnight. Vinegar also has the added benefit of degreasing hair that has a lot of natural oils in it.

Create another solution by mixing 4 tablespoons of red vinegar with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Gently massage this solution into your scalp in a circular motion to help stimulate blood flow. Try to avoid allowing your fingernails to contact your scalp so that it does not scrape away any skin. Let the solution soak for 30 minutes and then wash with a mild shampoo. Adding lemon juice will also help your hair to shine with a new luster after washing it.

Put 1/4 cup of red vinegar in a spray bottle with a 1/4 cup of water. Spray it onto your scalp and don a shower cap for the next 15 to 20 minutes so that it can soak in. Wash out the vinegar in the shower. The vinegar will restore the natural acid-alkaline balance and also kill the nasty bacteria that clog your pores.

Combine 1 tablespoon of red vinegar, 2 tablespoons of oatmeal, and a 1/2 cup of grapeseed oil. Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl until they form a thick paste. Using circular motions with your fingers, massage the concoction into your scalp, avoiding fingernail contact. Allow for the mixture to remain on your head for about an hour. Wash it off using a gentle shampoo.

Put 1 cup of water into a small pot and bring it to a boil. Once it is boiling, remove the pot from the stove and add a cup of red vinegar and 5 peppermint leaves. Allow the mixture to steep for two to three hours. Utilize the same spray bottle method as described above to put the concoction on your scalp.

For cases of severe dandruff, try using any of the above suggestions, but with a solution made with a stronger concentration of vinegar. Be sure to wash it out after about 20 to 30 minutes.
