How to Copy a Game to a CD
Windows XP lets you create CDs with its built-in CD burning feature. Alternatively, you can use Nero5 CD burning software. With Nero5, you can copy almost anything from games to data files to music files to movies. You can also go for advanced versions of Nero depending on your need.

Burn CDs in Windows XP

Insert a blank CD in the CD-RW drive.

Right-click on the game file or folder that you want to copy to the CD, point to "Send To," and then click on "CD-RW Drive."

Go to "Start," click on "My Computer" and then double-click on the "CD-RW Drive" icon.

In the CD-RW drive window that opens, under "CD Writing Tasks," click on "Write these files to CD" and then wait for the process to complete.
Download and Install Nero5

Download Nero5 from brothersoft.com (see link in Resources). This shareware program costs $59.99, as of November 2009.

Double-click on the setup file to install Nero5.

On the welcome page, click on "Next."

On the license agreement page, click on "I accept the terms of the license agreement" and then click on "Next."

On the customer information page, enter "User Name," "Organization" and "Serial Number" and then click on "Next."

On the setup-type page, click on "Typical" and then click on "Next."

Select the directory to install Nero in and then click on "Next."

Verify the displayed installation information and then click on "Install." Wait for the installation to complete and then restart your computer.
Burn CDs Using Nero5

Insert a blank CD into the CD writer.

Go to "Start," point to "Programs," point to "Ahead Nero" and then click on "Nero-Burning Rom."

Select the CD writer to use to burn the CD from the list shown. This is an optional step.

In the Nero window that opens, under "What would you like to burn," point to "Data" and then click on "Data Disc."

In the Disk Content windows that opens up, click on the "Add" button.

In the "Select Files and Folder" window that opens, navigate to the place on your hard disk where the game files to be burned are stored.

One by one, click on a game file or folder and then click on "Add." Repeat this until all the files are added. Click on "Finished" and then click on "Next."

In the "Final Burn Settings" window, click in the "Disc Name:" area and type the name of the game. You can give any name.

Click on the "More" button and then click on the "Write" check box. Deselect all other check boxes.

Click on "Burn" and wait for the process to complete.
