How to Write a Case Study Analysis

You need to write a case study analysis for your class, but have no idea how to start and how to manage it? Check out these tips that will make it easier to write your case study analysis.

Instructions

1. First of all, get familiar with the case at hands. Read and reread the case and get fully understanding. Read the questions you need to work with in your future analysis. Take notes while reading, keep in mind that any case offer a problem for the reader( student) to solve.

2. Get others opinion on the case. Don't hesitate to ask you professor, classmates on what they think about the case, what is the "heart" of the case, and what are the objectives of analyzing the case.

3. Scan the case again and highlight the abstracts that directly related to the questions you are required to answer.

4. Investigate the company past or whatever circumstances it was before the case happened.

5. Grasp advantages and disadvantages of the situation in the case study, note the good sides and the negative sides of the case. What was done right by the company? What moves were wrong in the given situation?

6. Analyse the actions and respond of the company to the situation they faced.
   How would you grade their respond? What do you think they did good? What was the bad decision and why. Try to see the connection between events and actions

7. Make your recommendations. How would you behave if you were CEO, director and so on? What strategy would you choose, what public relation methods you will go with? How would you handle the situation, and if the case is about good business move what would you add to this successful portfolio of steps the company did?

8. Write all your thoughts about the case. Make a draft. Make sure that all your points are directly connected to the questions or problem at hands.

9. Read on the case topic! Search internet for the information on your case in the news articles,Wikipedia, forums. Take notes, if you got the good idea from the source. Don't forget to quote it; nice quotations give creditability to your case analysis and helping you to get higher grade.
