A margarita made with beer may not sound like it would taste good, but add some lime flavor and you have a delicious classic cocktail with a modern twist! Read on for directions and learn how to get your party started!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cheap tequila
  • a can of Budweiser
  • Minute Maid limeade
  • blender
  1. Step 1

Pour a 12-oz. can of Budweiser into a blender. Add one and a half cups of ice. Add two cups of ice if you want it to be an extra thick margarita.

  2. Step 2

Refill the empty beer can with the cheapest tequila you can find. The tequila taste is not too strong when you are done, so the brand truly does not matter. Cactus Jack is about $10 a liter and works just fine.

  3. Step 3

Add a container of frozen limeade from concentrate. Any brand will do, but Minute Maid's is especially delicious. Blend the mixture furiously and serve in sugared or salted margarita glasses. Garnish the glass with a lime wedge and sip in style with close friends. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • The beer taste is not noticeable, so even beer haters who like margaritas will love this unique recipe!
  • Use extreme caution when serving these - there is a LOT of alcohol in a pitcher of these margaritas, and they taste so sweet it's tough not to get carried away. They are best served to a group of sleepover guests! :)

on 11/22/2009 Beer and lime margaritas are just what the doctor ordered on a hot day. I also like the economics of it, great for a garden party!
