Things You'll Need:
- Paper
- Drawing utensils
-
Step 1
Draw the exterior form of the car, clockwise. Start by placing the pencil at the hood of the car, draw an upward slanted horizontal line over the hood to the windshield.
-
Step 2
Draw the line upward more sharply at the windshield (nearly vertical), then return to a horizontal, flat line at the hood.
-
Step 3
Angle the line downward sharply over the back window, leveling out at the trunk. The trunk should be a nearly horizontal line (angling downward only slightly) until the tail end of the car, at which time the line will drop to a near-vertical descent to the bottom of the car.
-
Step 4
Draw a straight, horizontal line to the front of the car, dipping up only for 2 cut-out semi-circles, where the tires will go (one near the front and one near the back). Once the line has returned to the front of the car, angle upward sharply in a near vertical line to return to the hood, where you started.
-
Step 5
Draw a circle for each tire in the semi-circle cut outs you made under the car.
-
Step 1
Draw a small rectangle pointing out the rear, angled downward (this is the exhaust pipe).
-
Step 2
Draw a square beneath the hood, less than half the size of the car, toward the front. This is the driver's side window.
-
Step 3
Draw a small circle at the very front of the car, under the hood. This is the headlight.
-
Step 4
Draw a small rectangle directly under the trunk in the very rear. This is the tail-light.
