Instructions

  1. Brewskie Boogie Men

    • 1

Fill empty aluminum beer (or soda if you prefer) cans with the gravel type of kitty litter. One half to three quarters full is sufficient for your trophies. To avoid a large mess, use a funnel.

    • 2

Glue cotton balls to the tips of 10" bamboo skewers. Use as many skewers as you have aluminum cans.

    • 3

Wrap a tissue around the cotton ball to make a ghost. The cotton ball will be your ghost's face. Tie a piece of clear fishing line around the ghost's "neck", just under the cotton ball. You can also use decorative ribbon to make bow ties if you want to glam up your Boogie Man.

    • 4

Draw a face on your ghost. Be creative! Give him an expression. Make him look scary or goofy. You can also use the back of your ghost's head to write 1, 2, or 3 if your games will have a first, second, and third place winner.

    • 5

Stick the skewer down into the can. Push the stick down through the kitty litter until you reach the bottom of the can. The litter will hold your skewer into place.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you don't like the "cheesiness" of the beer cans on display, you can wrap the cans with orange or black construction paper and decorate with Halloween designs.

  • For an added touch, paint the skewers black before gluing the cotton balls on.

  • Use caution while filling your open cans with litter and inserting your skewers, as the aluminum can opening may have a sharp edge.
