1. Confine pets and children so that they cannot walk in sprayed areas while the areas are wet.

2. Mix 2 ounces of concentrate to 1 gallon of water if using a concentrate. This mixture works well for northern grasses. Use only 1 ounce of concentrate on southern grasses. According to lawn-and-garden.hardwarestore.com, a 1-gallon mixture should cover approximately 500 square feet.

3. Pour the mixture from the gallon jug into the refillable bottle. If you have purchased a premixed bottle, this step will not apply. Shake the bottle to ensure that all ingredients are properly mixed.

5. Turn on the water.
