Things You'll Need
- Drop cloths
- Vinyl gloves
- Stir sticks
- Painter's blue tape
- Hammer
- 3" nylon/polyester paint brush
- 5 gallon bucket with roller frame grid
- Detergent
- Rag
- Spackling
- Spackling knife
- 3/8" Nap paint roller

Select paint color, buy a quart, and test on a hardboard for Tuscan faux finish painting.

Prepare walls by cleaning and smoothing out imperfections. Repair holes with spackling, countersink nails, and sand if necessary.

Remove all items from room for ease of painting.

Take off light switch and electrical plates. Protect baseboard, crown moulding, and window and door edges with painter's tape. Use drop cloths to cover furniture or anything you want to protect.

Apply Tuscan faux base coat with 3/8" nap roller and wait 24 hours for it to dry.

Apply Tuscan faux glaze coat in three-by-three foot squares with brush making an "X" or crisscross pattern, randomly. Use long strokes to cover all white spaces, without reloading brush, while Tuscan faux paint is still wet.

Use five-gallon paint bucket with a roller grid for ease of roller painting.
