How to Make Your Own Fairy Tale Party Favors

If you're planning a party with a fairy-tale theme, you can design party favors that fit the tone of your event and are easy to create and inexpensive to prepare. With a few supplies from the local craft or discount stores and a little planning, you can make party favors that are just right for your fairy-tale party.

Things You'll Need:

• Colored card stock
• Tape
• Craft supplies (glitter, ribbons, foil, feathers and buttons)
• Dowel rods
• Aluminum foil
• Pillar candles
• Plastic jewels (such as rhinestones)
• Organza party bags
• Ribbon
• Fairy-tale novelty items
• Miniature party boxes
• Craft stickers
• Candy

1. Trace a crown design on the colored card stock and cut out the design. Attach the ends of the crown with tape, and add craft items to decorate the crown.

2. Cover each dowel rod with aluminum foil, and decorate them with craft items to create magic wands. Ribbons, glitter and miniature stars work well.

3. Pin small stars or colored rhinestones on white, silver or pink pillar candles. Place the candles in organza bags, and tie with colorful ribbon. You also can decorate the organza bags with fairy-tale novelty items, such as castles, crowns, stars or even Cinderella-style slippers.

4. Decorate miniature gift boxes with stickers, rhinestones or decorative labels, and fill them with candy that fits the color scheme of the party.
