How to Remove a Headlight on a Dodge Magnum

The Dodge Magnum headlights should be checked every six months to make sure they are functioning normally. If you notice that a headlight is out, replace it as soon as possible. Replacement bulbs can be purchased at most auto parts stores. Use the part number on the bottom of the old bulb to get the right new one.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Disconnect the negative battery cable. Turn the nut on the cable clamp counterclockwise to loosen it and then slide the clamp off the negative terminal.

  2. Step 2

    Open the hood and remove the electrical connector from the back of the headlight housing ballast.

  3. Step 3

    Turn the headlight counterclockwise and pull the headlight out of the housing. You may have to angle the bulb up at a 45 degree angle to clear the frame and headlight housing.
