Eating boiled vegetables not only cleanses the colon effectively but also helps slim you down. Accumulation of noxious deposits in the walls of the colon over time can make the colon a breeding ground for the growth of bacteria and fungal infections. Avoiding colon cleansing can lead to conditions such as collapsed colon, diverticulitis, hemorrhoids and asthma. Boiled vegetables contain a lot of nutrients and a small amount of fat and are therefore the main ingredient of a detox diet. A dinner of boiled vegetables should be consumed two to three hours before going to sleep.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy fresh vegetables from the market. Ensure the freshness of vegetables before purchasing them to avoid the chances of a food poisoning.

  2. Step 2

Purchase and clean capsicum, carrots, and sweet corn. These vegetables are recommended by many dietitians for a detoxification diet meant for colon cleansing.

  3. Step 3

Boil the vegetables and use a blender to blend them and the water they were cooked in. By making the vegetables into a soup/ juice you can also use the water that is left after boiling and still contains the essential nutrients of the vegetables.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also opt for drinking herbal teas or light teas without milk, cream and sugar two or three times a day for the colon-cleansing procedure. Herbal teas cooked in from medicinal herbs like dandelion, rosemary, thyme, sage, etc. for the detoxification procedures have a purifying effect on the blood.
