  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • Ancho chile powder
  • 2-3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 head lettuce, chopped
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Sour cream
  • Salsa
  • Flour tortillas

      Brown the hamburger in a skillet. Drain the grease.

      Sprinkle ancho chile powder on the hamburger, and stir over low heat for 1 minute.

      Place a tortilla on a plate and microwave for 10 seconds.

      Line the middle of the tortilla with hamburger, and then add cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, sour cream and salsa.

      Fold in two opposite sides of the tortilla. Roll up the tortilla from one of the open sides.

  • You can sprinkle ancho chile on any meat. Try using it as a poultry rub, mixing it into sour cream for a dip, adding it to soup, or using it in guacamole.

    Give that ground beef an authentic Tex-mex taco taste. as your browing your beef, add 1/4 diced onion, about a tspn full each of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cumin powder and red pepper flake for heat. Use lean beef so you dont have a lot of grease produced. seve this beef with soft or crispy tacos or a filling for beef enchiladas. fill a large tortilla with beans and beef for a burrito. use as a topping or filling for all you favorite dishes.
