How to Detect Invisible Users on Yahoo Messenger

Have you ever wondered whether your Yahoo! Messenger friend was online even when his status says "Offline?" Now you can verify the status of your messenger friend using third-party Yahoo! Messenger status checking software. Status checking software allows you to bypass Yahoo! Messenger invisible settings so that you can find out whether your friend is really offline or on an "Invisible" status.

Instructions

1. Download and install a free Yahoo! Messenger status checking program such as Buddy Spy (see Resources).

2. Launch the application after completing the installation and click the "Buddy Spy" button on the left panel.

3. Select "Single Scan" and type in the screen name of the contact you want to verify. Place a check on the following options under scan options:
   Online status
   Chat status
   Webcam status

4. Click "Scan." Buddy Spy searches Yahoo! Messenger for your buddy's status and displays the results on the "Status Report" window. If result says "Offline," it means your contact is actually offline. If it says "Invisible," it means your buddy is online but on "Invisible" status.
