LimeWire is a peer-to-peer file sharing application that allows you to download content from other users. It relies on the Gnutella newtowk to search for and download multimedia content such as music, videos and photos. LimeWire also allows you to change the skin to give your interface a more personalized look. You can select from an array of colors and designs and give your program a look better than the default one.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Launch LimeWire on your computer.

  2. Step 2

Click the "Edit" menu and select "Apply Skins." You should see a list of skins such as nimbus, metal or the default skin. Click the skin you want to use. LimeWire activates the new skin.

  3. Step 3

Click "View" again on the menu if you do not see the skin you want to use. Select "Apply Skins" and click "Get more skins." The LimeWire skin page launches. Select the skin you want and download it to your computer.

  4. Step 4

Click "View" again on the menu and select "Apply Skins." Click the skin you downloaded from the Internet to activate it on your LimeWire application.
