Step 1
Download Shareaza and run the installation wizard to install the program on your computer. Once the program installs, the setup wizard launches automatically.

Click "Next" on the Shareaza setup screen. Select the type of internet connection you use on your computer under "Type of Internet connection." Select your download and upload speeds if you don't know the type of internet connection you're using. Specify if you want port forwarding. Click "Next."

Select the folders you want to share with other users on the Shareaza network from the "Sharing" window. Click "Add" and locate the folders you want if you don't see them in the sharing window. If you don't want to share a specific folder, highlight it and click "Remove." Click "Next."

Type in your name or create a username if you prefer and select your age and gender. Select the country you're connecting from and click "Next." (You don't have to include this information if you don't want to.)

Select the user interface you're comfortable with. You can select either Basic or Power mode. Basic mode has a limited number of buttons and is well suited for Shareaza beginners. Power mode includes complex controls and is best suited for advanced users. Click "Next."

Step 6
Select the P2P network you want Shareaza to connect to. Select the Gnutella network if you want to connect to a larger database to search for and download content. You can also select other networks like eDonkey, Gnutella2, or BitTorrent. Click "Next."

Step 7
Specify whether you want Shareaza to launch automatically when you start your computer. Click "Finish" to complete the configuration process. Shareaza will launch and you can begin searching for and downloading content.
