Things You'll Need:
- House address numbers
- Graph paper
- Pencil
- Tape
- Hammer
- Nail
- Tack nails
-
Step 1
Lay the house address numbers out on a piece of graph paper, and position them with the correct spacing---that is, the way you want them to look when they are hung.
-
Step 2
Mark the position of the numbers on the paper by using a pencil to apply a mark through the nail holes at the top and bottom of the numbers onto the paper.
-
Step 3
Tape the graph paper over the surface of the area where you want to hang the house address numbers.
-
Step 4
Place the tip of a nail on one of the pencil marks you made designating a nail hole in one of the numbers and, using a hammer, lightly tap the nail to mark the surface on which you are going to hang the number.
-
Step 5
Repeat step 4 for each of the marks on the graph paper until you have made a mark on the hanging surface for the top and bottom of each number.
-
Step 6
Remove the graph paper and use tack nails and a hammer to secure each number to the mounting surface in the set marks you made with the nail until all the numbers are attached.
