Things You'll Need:
- Don't touch
- Apply over-the-counter products
- Wash properly
- Eliminate oily facial products
- Benzoyl Peroxide
-
Step 1
Whatever you do, don’t touch, pop or otherwise manipulate your pimples. When you touch the pimples, you risk the spreading of bacteria and increase the odds of scaring.
-
Step 2
Apply over-the-counter acne medication and find one that works best for you. A lot of skin care doctors say that the best acne medications out there contain the active ingredient Benzoyl Peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide helps eliminate blockage caused by dead skin cells, bacteria, and oil in the pores. Make sure to use it once or twice a day. Apply a moisturizer after using, to decrease the amount of drying that may occur.
-
Step 3
Always make sure that you wash your face once or twice a day. Use a mild soap and rub lightly with your fingers and don’t use a washcloth
-
Step 4
Don’t use oily products on your hair or oily moisturizers and cleansers on your skin. This will help prevent breakouts.
